Radiotherapy Physics Administrator

Job Overview
The Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust is renowned for its comprehensive cancer services, providing specialized care to patients in the region. We are currently seeking a dedicated and HCPC Registered Clinical Scientist to enhance our Radiotherapy Physics team at our Maidstone facility on a full-time, fixed-term basis.
Our center is equipped with advanced technology, including nine Varian linear accelerators, with a mix of TrueBeam and Halcyon machines. Additionally, we utilize dedicated CT-Simulators, Varian HDR Gamma-Med Plus iX, and Prostate Seed Brachytherapy facilities, along with access to MRI and PET-CT imaging capabilities. Our treatment planning is supported by Varian Eclipse, Varian Brachy TPS, and Variseed systems.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting various aspects of radiotherapy physics, which include:
- Assisting in treatment planning and performance verification of treatment and imaging equipment.
- Contributing to the development of innovative techniques and ensuring compliance with radiation protection standards.
- Engaging in multi-disciplinary groups focused on service enhancements and the introduction of new methodologies.
