We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Marshalls PLC. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the continuous running of our plant by eliminating downtime through safe and logical approaches to fault finding and maintenance of equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out planned and reactive engineering activities on-site to ensure the continuous running of the plant.
- Eliminate downtime through safe and logical approaches to fault finding and maintenance of equipment.
- Work on various types of equipment, including complex hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic control systems.
- Ensure a safe working environment by wearing RPE equipment and hearing protection at all times.
- Work a 5 x 8-hour day and 4 x 8.25 hour night shift pattern, with 1 x 7 hour night shift.
- Good working Electrical Maintenance & Engineering knowledge with some Mechanical Engineering experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Time served/apprentice, ideally trained in a similar position with appropriate Electrical Qualifications such as City & Guilds Electrical Engineering & 18th Edition.
- Good understanding of current environmental and health and safety issues.
- Practical hands-on approach and happy working in a dirty environment.
- Significant experience, understanding, and knowledge of the maintenance of a variety of plant.
- Experience in electrical fault finding, defect rectification, and routine maintenance activities.
- Ability to interrogate/understand maintenance problems to provide accurate plant condition information/recommendations.
- Excellent communication skills, dealing with operatives, Team leaders from both maintenance and production.
- Comfortable working at heights, including ladders, cherry pickers, and scaffold towers.
- Set shift patterns + overtime available.
- No 12-hour shifts.
- 34 days per annum or the equivalent in hours (inclusive of bank holidays).
