About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Marshalls PLC. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the continuous running of our plant by eliminating downtime through a safe and logical approach to fault finding and maintenance of equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out a range of planned and reactive engineering activities on-site.
  • Ensure the continuous running of the plant by eliminating downtime.
  • Work on various types of equipment including complex hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic control systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance activities and electrical fault finding.
  • Interrogate and understand maintenance problems to provide accurate plant condition information and recommendations.
  • Communicate effectively with operatives and team leaders from both maintenance and production.
Requirements
  • Good working Electrical Maintenance & Engineering knowledge with some Mechanical Engineering experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Time served/apprentice, ideally trained in a similar position with appropriate Electrical Qualifications such as City & Guilds Electrical Engineering & 18th Edition.
  • Good understanding of current environmental and health and safety issues.
  • Practical hands-on approach and happy working in a dirty environment.
  • Significant experience, understanding, and knowledge of the maintenance of a variety of plant.
  • Experience in electrical fault finding, defect rectification, and routine maintenance activities.
  • Ability to work at heights using ladders, cherry pickers, and scaffold towers.
