Site Engineer Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join our team in Aberdeen. As a Site Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of construction projects, from setting out and surveying the site to implementing strategies and overseeing quality control and health and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Setting out and surveying the site to ensure accurate measurements and layouts
  • Implementing strategies in line with management's directives to achieve project goals
  • Reviewing plans, drawings, and quantities for accuracy to ensure project timelines and budgets are met
  • Overseeing quality control and health and safety protocols on site to ensure a safe working environment
  • Obtaining permits and warrants as required
  • Maintaining company quality procedures to ensure consistency and excellence
  • Mentoring and supporting junior staff to develop their skills and knowledge
  • Assisting the team with additional site engineering tasks as needed
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Site Engineer with a civil engineering contractor
  • Experience in setting out for groundworks and infrastructure projects
  • Relevant civil engineering qualification (HND/C or Degree)
  • CAD or ground modelling knowledge is desirable but not essential
  • Valid CSCS card and UK driving license
