Key Responsibilities:- Leadership and Management: Lead, mentor, and support team members in achieving their goals and targets.
- Operations Management: Oversee import and export operations, ensuring accuracy and timely completion of legal, financial, and invoicing tasks.
- Training and Development: Provide training, supervision, and maintain staff training records.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Create, maintain, and enforce SOPs for the department, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Communication and Reporting: Communicate and report internal leads to sales and customer service teams.
- Financial Management: Authorise and scrutinise invoices, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Health and Safety: Act as the senior fire warden and local representative for Health & Safety issues, ensuring compliance and good practice.
- Leadership Experience: Proven experience in leading and managing teams effectively.
- Industry Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of import/export operations and regulatory compliance.
- Health and Safety: Strong background in health and safety management, ideally within a warehouse environment.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to solve problems efficiently.
- Financial Management: Solid financial management skills, particularly in cost tracking and invoice processing.
This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday 8.30am-5.30pm. Salary is £45,000 - £55,000 per annum depending on experience.
