Responsibilities- Collaborate with our design team to develop cutting-edge machinery and processes that drive efficiency and productivity.
- Design and optimize manufacturing processes to increase production capacity and reduce costs.
- Work on-site to ensure seamless integration and functionality of new machines and processes.
- Create modular production line designs that are flexible and adaptable to changing production needs.
- Develop flexible machine forming centers/stations with interchangeable forming heads.
- Implement in-process testing and control mechanisms to enhance Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) metrics.
- Replace existing robotic handling solutions with simpler, more efficient alternatives.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and other relevant design software.
- Proven experience in machine and process design, particularly in industrial manufacturing environments.
- Ability to proactively identify and solve design challenges without waiting for detailed instructions.
- Hands-on experience with core processes such as cutting, heating, forming, quenching, tempering, painting, and inspection.
- Familiarity with modular design principles and international power/safety/machine regulations.
- Strong understanding of production processes and quality control measures.
- Experience with in-process testing and quality control integration.
- Knowledge of value stream mapping (VSM) and quality data analysis.
- Understanding of outsourcing processes such as quenching, tempering, washing, painting, and powder coating.
- Familiarity with handling a variety of product families with different forming and processing requirements.
- Right to work in the United Kingdom.
- English language proficiency.
- Confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
