Job Title: Lead Theatre Practitioner - Ophthalmology

Xander Medical is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Theatre Practitioner to join our team in Welwyn Garden City. As a key member of our ophthalmology department, you will be responsible for the operational management of our theatres, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate the initial set up of the theatre department, ensuring efficient and effective processes are in place.
  • Lead a team of theatre practitioners, providing clinical leadership and management to ensure a safe and effective working environment.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with national guidance and regulations.
  • Collaborate with consultant partners to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient records, adhering to NMC and HCPC standards.
Requirements:
  • Current Nursing or Operating Department Practice degree or diploma.
  • Hold current NMC or HCPC registration.
  • Previous experience as an ophthalmic theatre manager or lead.
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Office products and using computerised systems for data input/output and review.
