About the Role
We are seeking an Assistant Site Manager to join our dynamic team in the South East region, dedicated to overseeing the construction of our new retirement development.
In this role, you will be based on-site and will report directly to the Site Manager. Your responsibilities will include assisting in the management of all facets of the construction site, focusing on health and safety compliance, coordination of trades and materials, site presentation, and cost management.
Utilizing specified plans and directives, you will support the Site Manager throughout the entire construction process, ensuring that all deadlines are adhered to and that the project meets both Company and NHBC standards.
As the Assistant Site Manager, you may be required to be on-call in the absence of the Site Manager, although this occurrence is infrequent. Upon completion of the development, you will transition to another site within the region.
Your role is pivotal in upholding the success of Churchill Retirement Living's brand and growth strategy, as we strive to create high-quality, desirable retirement living spaces for individuals aged 60 and above.
About You
The ideal candidate will possess prior experience in the construction of residential apartments or new homes. A qualification as a First Aider at Work is essential, and a background in trades is advantageous.
You should hold a valid CSCS Card and have achieved NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Site Management, preferably through the NHBC Site Manager Accreditation programme.
To thrive in this role, you must be assertive and maintain composure under pressure, effectively managing multiple construction deadlines while collaborating with a diverse range of external suppliers, specialists, and internal teams to achieve critical objectives without compromising quality.
Excellent communication and influencing skills at all levels are essential for fostering cooperation.
A valid UK driving licence is required.
