We are seeking a highly skilled Publicity Manager to join our dynamic team at Bertelsmann SE & Co. KGaA. As a key member of our brand and communications team, you will play a vital role in driving sales and raising brand awareness for our children's books.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute comprehensive publicity campaigns for children's books, including press releases, promotional copy, and other marketing materials.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, brand, and social media, to create integrated campaigns.
- Monitor and analyze campaign performance to measure effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, librarians, retailers, and industry influencers.
- Secure feature and review coverage in key media outlets, including traditional and digital platforms.
- Organize and attend industry events, conferences, author events, and book launches.
- A proven track record of generating eye-catching, stand-out PR coverage and events, ideally at a trade publishing house.
- Strong attention to detail, with an understanding of the elements needed to make a title commercially successful.
- Detailed working knowledge of PR and strong, established media connections.
- Motivated to develop own understanding of the media and the wider children's book market.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills, ability to prioritize busy workload.
- Excellent communication and people skills at all levels and ability to build and maintain first-rate relationships with external and internal contacts.
- Results-driven, with an ability to analyze effectiveness of campaigns against budget and sales.
- Sociable, confident, enthusiastic, and self-motivated team player.
