Job Overview

As a Patient Care Assistant, you will play a crucial role in delivering compassionate and individualized support to our patients. - Qualified Patient Care Assistants: Individuals who have completed a relevant qualification in Health & Social Care.
- Experienced Patient Care Assistants: Those with practical experience in providing high-quality care, even if they have not yet obtained formal qualifications.

Our patients require dedicated care around the clock, which means that most positions will involve various shift patterns, including long and short days, nights, and weekends. We are open to discussing flexible working arrangements, so please specify your preferences in your application.

Key Responsibilities

You will collaborate with Nurses and other Healthcare Professionals to ensure a positive experience for our patients and their families during challenging times. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with personal hygiene and dressing
  • Supporting patients with toileting needs
  • Making and maintaining patient beds
  • Serving meals and assisting with feeding
  • Aiding patients in mobility
  • Ensuring overall comfort for patients
  • Encouraging healthy lifestyle and behavioral changes

It is essential to recognize that certain aspects of care work may be emotionally challenging. You will be expected to provide personal care with professionalism and sensitivity, maintaining a compassionate approach when communicating with patients and their families, especially during difficult moments.

Required Qualifications

Essential:

  • Willingness to complete the Care Certificate training program.
  • Commitment to undertake Functional Skills Level 2 in Maths and English if not already qualified.
