About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Engineer to join our team at Hewlett Packard Enterprise. As a Research Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative solutions for our HPC and AI infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop high-performance computing systems and architectures
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI and HPC technologies
  • Develop and maintain software frameworks and tools for HPC and AI applications
  • Conduct research and development in areas such as parallel programming, AI/ML frameworks, and data preparation
  • Work with research consortia and EU projects to advance HPC and AI technologies
Requirements
  • Experience with system management stacks, including identity and access management, system configuration, software deployment, high-performance networks, and software container technology
  • Development experience in classic compiled languages such as C, C++, or Fortran and experience with interpreted environments such as Python, and modern compiled languages like Go or Rust
  • Parallel programming experience, with relevant programming models such as OpenMP, MPI, CUDA, OpenACC, HIP, etc.
  • Knowledge of AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch, as well as data preparation, handling, and lineage control, and model deployment in a distributed environment
  • Experience with Cray System Management software or OpenCHAMI
  • Experience in one or more domain-specific software ecosystems (e.g. weather and climate, computational fluid dynamics, AI, data science)
