Role Overview
In this position, you will be accountable to the Senior Support Worker, collaborating within a dedicated team to deliver essential assistance. Your focus will be on enhancing the existing skills and capabilities of Service Users while honoring their unique preferences and requirements.
Your responsibilities will encompass aiding with personal hygiene, maintaining cleanliness, grocery shopping, and facilitating access to community engagements and resources. Additionally, you will be tasked with the administration of prescribed medications.
Proficiency in IT will be necessary for updating documentation, including support plans and risk assessments. A solid understanding of the Mental Capacity Act and capacity assessments is also required.
The work schedule operates on a 4-week rotation, which may be adjusted to align with service demands. Shifts will occur during weekdays, weekends, and public holidays (between 8am and 10pm). Enhanced pay rates apply for weekend and holiday shifts. You will be expected to work two weekend shifts each month and participate in sleep-in duties.
The starting hourly wage for this role is £12.18, with increased rates of £18.27 for Saturday hours and £21.68 for Sunday hours. We currently have two positions available: one offering 37 hours and another providing 29 hours per week.

Candidate Profile
A proficient command of written and spoken English is essential for accurate case documentation and to pursue a qualification in Health and Social Care if you do not already possess one. Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with basic IT proficiency, are also required.
While prior experience in supporting individuals with disabilities is not mandatory, candidates must demonstrate an understanding of equality, diversity, and inclusion, as well as knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act and the importance of safety and confidentiality in this role.
