We are currently seeking enthusiastic Residential Support Workers to join our team in Poole on a casual basis. This role offers the flexibility to work according to your availability, with no contractual obligations. As part of our dedicated team, you will contribute to the development of personalized care plans for each child and young adult, fostering an environment of trust and support. At Budwood, we prioritize your professional growth and well-being, providing training in 'Developmental Trauma' and therapeutic parenting to enhance your ability to support our young people effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate experience in working with children and young people, understanding the unique challenges they face in care.
  • Exhibit flexibility in your availability to cover shifts, including sickness, annual leave, and sleep-in shifts as required.
  • Safeguard and promote the welfare of our young individuals.
  • Build and maintain positive, trusting relationships with the children and young adults in our care.
  • Collaborate effectively within a team, accepting guidance and direction when necessary.
  • Encourage the exploration and development of individual interests among our young people.
  • Possess or be willing to pursue relevant qualifications such as the Residential Childcare/Families Practitioner Diploma or NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care.
  • Hold a valid UK driving license and have access to a vehicle for travel purposes.
  • Exhibit excellent communication and listening skills.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to learn and grow professionally.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a small team.
  • Be prepared to undergo an enhanced DBS check, which will be funded by the company.
  • Experience with Emotional Behavioral Disorder, Social/Residential Work, or Youth Work is advantageous.
