Financial Director

Axon Moore is partnering with a leading retail business in the Leeds area to recruit a Finance Director.
This successful business with a strong brand is seeking to appoint a Finance Director who can help drive a positive change agenda within the business and help to maximise its profitability and performance in the coming years.
The Finance Director will be working as part of a talented board and leadership team to help take the business forwards.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the Finance Function: Ensure all reporting requirements are met, and that finance is represented to the highest of standards across the business.
- Financial Analysis: Carry out detailed financial analysis of the main drivers and risks for the business' success and profitability.
- Third-Party Relationships: Manage relationships with banks, auditors, insurers, and other third parties to ensure compliance, regulatory, and statutory requirements are adhered to.
- Commercial Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with commercial stakeholders to scrutinise contracts and customer agreements.
- Process Improvement: Analyse systems and processes to ensure financial reporting procedures run as efficiently as possible.
- Finance Leader: Qualified finance leader, ideally with experience within a retail (or similar) sector.
- Commercial Mindset: Commercial mindset, able to drive change and improvements across many facets of the organisation.
