About the Role
The Mitsubishi Chemical Group is a leading speciality materials company operating in four business fields: Performance Products, Chemicals, Industrial Gases, and Health Care. With a global presence, the company supports people's daily lives and businesses by providing advanced chemistry-based solutions in electronics, healthcare & life science, and automotive areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialist guidance and support on global projects, ensuring targets, project excellence procedures, and engineering/SHE standards are met.
- Take on responsibilities and operations during front-end loading (FEL) and EPC within strategic projects.
- Support global manufacturing sites for medium- to long-term work, as well as emergency and short-term needs, guiding and coaching developing electrical engineers.
- Recommend best practices for electrical maintenance, acting as a technical authority in support of global manufacturing operations.
- Ensure strategic projects are compliant with company SHE standards, leading the appraisal and appointment of engineering design contractors as Design Authorities.
- Lead/participate in Asset Integrity Procedure (AIP) and project audits.
Requirements
- A highly motivated candidate with a desire to be innovative and adaptable to dynamic situations.
- Knowledge of Process Industry Practices (PIPs) and US PE requirements is an advantage.
- An individual comfortable with the design, specification, inspection, and testing of HV electrical distribution systems or electrical machines for industrial facilities.
- A team player with excellent communication skills to liaise with several company teams effectively.
- Willingness to undertake significant travel, including national and extended international placements.
