About the Role

Mitsubishi Chemical is seeking a highly motivated Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our global projects, you will provide specialist guidance and support to ensure targets, project excellence procedures, and engineering/SHE standards are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be the subject matter expert for electrical engineering on strategic projects based in the UK and overseas.
  • Take on responsibilities and operations during front-end loading (FEL) and EPC within strategic projects.
  • Provide specialist electrical engineer support to our global manufacturing sites for medium- to long-term work as well as emergency and short-term needs.
  • Recommend best practices for electrical maintenance, acting as a technical authority in support of global manufacturing operations.
  • Ensure strategic projects are compliant with company SHE standards.
  • Lead the appraisal and appointment of engineering design contractors as Design Authorities in accordance with company SHE Standards.
  • Lead/participate in Asset Integrity Procedure (AIP) and project audits.

Requirements

  • A good degree in electrical engineering (minimum BEng/BSc; MEng/MSc preferred).
  • Extensive work experience post-graduation with significant experience in one or more of the Chemical, Petrochemical, or Oil and Gas industries.
  • Chartered Engineer status or equivalent.
  • Experience with on-site industrial power generation (e.g. CHP plants or similar).
  • Proficient with specialist software packages (SPEL, ETAP, SKM Power Tools, AMTECH, Navisworks, AutoCAD).
