BluetownOnline Ltd offers comprehensive compliance services throughout the UK, focusing on airtightness (Part L or Section 6), sound insulation (Part E or Section 5), and ventilation (Part F) testing and consultancy.
We provide a variety of services to assist builders and designers in adhering to Building Regulations, ensuring that structures meet specified design criteria.
In this role, you will report to the Team Leader and be responsible for preparing and executing tests on both new and existing structures at client locations, utilizing specialized equipment and reporting tools to verify compliance with Building Regulations and related standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct the following assessments:
- Airtightness evaluations in line with Building Regulations Part L, Section 6 of Scottish Building Standards, Passivhaus, and client-specific criteria
- Ventilation performance assessments in accordance with Building Regulations Part F and similar standards
- Heat transfer coefficient evaluations
- Provide related advisory services as necessary
- Engage with clients and site management to present findings
- Identify faults, analyze results, and compile reports in accordance with company and regulatory standards
- Perform routine checks on equipment and vehicles to ensure operational readiness, reporting any maintenance needs
- Adhere to Corporate, Client, and competent persons schemes standards, policies, and procedures
- Complete administrative tasks within required timelines
- Undertake additional duties as required by the role
Due to the nature of our services, you may be required to travel beyond daily commuting distances, necessitating overnight stays and/or working evenings or weekends, with schedules subject to change on short notice.
Candidate Profile:
Essential Skills:
- Familiarity with UK Building Regulations and relevant testing standards
- Valid driving license
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety Regulations
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving abilities
- Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence and build relationships
- Ability to work independently while being a collaborative team player
- Commercial awareness
- Analytical mindset with the capability to interpret and apply regulations and standards
- Customer-focused approach aimed at delivering exceptional service
- Proficient in computer use
- Commitment to ongoing technical knowledge of regulations and standards
- CSCS card or equivalent (Desirable)
Educational Requirements:
- A degree in a relevant field or equivalent qualification.
