About the Role

We are seeking highly motivated and enthusiastic Social Workers to join our teams at East Ayrshire Council. As a Social Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting adults at risk and those in our communities through the exercise of statutory powers to address complex issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake assessments of need and formulate and implement care plans in line with the National Self-Directed Support Framework.
  • Work in conjunction with other external agencies and partner organisations to ensure positive outcomes for adults.
  • Respond to Adult Concern and Adult at Risk referrals for adults aged 16 years and over who are not an open case to social services.
  • Act as the lead worker/team until the conclusion of the Adult Support and Protection (Scotland) Act Initial Case Conference.
Requirements

The duties of the post involve Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act. Successful applicants for such posts will be required to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member in respect of Regulated Work with either or both of these groups as appropriate.

Working Arrangements

The posts are full-time permanent positions based across Locality Health & Care. The workstyle for these posts is 'Flexible' - 50% - 79% of your time in an office location/multiple work locations. You will work at your administrative base or another agreed office location between 2.5 to 4 days per week and only occasionally from home.

Benefits

The annual salary for these posts is £41, - £44, which includes a 5% market forces payment. (Pro Rata for part-time)
