About the Role
We are seeking highly motivated and enthusiastic Social Workers to join our team at East Ayrshire Council. As a Social Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting vulnerable adults and older people in our communities.
About the Team
Our team is part of the East Ayrshire Health and Social Care Partnership, which has received additional funding to support and transform the way we care for adults and older people. We are embarking on an exciting journey of establishing Multidisciplinary Teams across our communities, working alongside partner agencies to ensure everyone we support has access to the best preventative care.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and prioritize referrals for adult concern and adult at risk cases
- Formulate and implement care plans in line with National Self-Directed Support Framework
- Work in partnership with multidisciplinary teams to ensure individuals receive the further assessment and support they require
- Conduct statutory work under the Adult Support and Protection (Scotland) Act
Requirements
Successful applicants will be required to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member in respect of Regulated Work with vulnerable adults. We follow the national guidance in relation to pre-employment checks, and you will be required to provide details of a minimum of two appropriate and relevant references.
Working Arrangements
The posts are full-time permanent positions based across Locality Health & Care. You will work at your administrative base or another agreed office location between 2.5 to 4 days per week and only occasionally from home. The admin base for these posts is the Johnnie Walker Bond, Kilmarnock.
Annual Salary
£41, - £44, which includes a 5% market forces payment. (Pro Rata for part-time)
