Job Title: Environmental Operations Manager
Job Purpose:
- Oversee all operational environmental activities of MSC Cruises fleet, ensuring operational excellence and adherence to environmental regulations and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement logistics and waste management strategies, ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies.
- Monitor vessels' environmental activities daily, ensuring adherence to regulations and company policies.
- Participate in audit inspections, certifications, and compliance initiatives.
- Collaborate with Port Agencies and stakeholders to develop strategies and programs for environmental management.
- Coordinate shipside activities, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with regulations.
- Negotiate with environmental services vendors and Agencies to ensure vessel compliance, optimize costs, and provide support for financial matters.
- Review and ensure correct application of environmental procedures, manuals, and documentation.
- Stay up-to-date with environmental legislation, regulations, and industry standards.
- Analyze business opportunities to optimize waste management and water supply processes for the fleet, including new building projects.
- Collaborate with the Environmental Department and other MSC Cruises departments on multidisciplinary projects.
Requirements:
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- Previous experience in environmental management in the maritime industry.
- Knowledge of ISO standards and environmental regulations.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
VISA Requirements:
The existing right to work in the UK is preferred.
