About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior VAT Advisor to join our team at Forvis Mazars. As a key member of our VAT advisory practice, you will play a crucial role in developing our VAT advisory services, particularly in the Real Estate sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality technical advice to a diverse range of clients, working closely with our VAT team and other professionals.
  • Scope, deliver, and bill client work, ensuring compliance with our risk management processes.
  • Guide and support more junior staff in researching and producing high-quality work, while also contributing to the development of our VAT practice.
  • Provide technical expertise on Indirect Tax matters, supporting your decisions with in-depth knowledge of legislation, case law, and technical analysis.
  • Produce technical work that requires minimal review and effectively communicates key points to clients and stakeholders in plain English.
Requirements
  • Substantial experience in VAT advisory work, ideally including a good knowledge of real estate VAT issues.
  • Strong technical, business development, and interpersonal skills, with excellent client handling and communication skills.
  • CTA or legally qualified, with a strong interest in the technical side of VAT.
