Construction Project Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled Assistant or Quantity Surveyor to join our team at CV Library. As a key member of our property sector team, you will play a vital role in the development of construction projects in the Hertfordshire and London area.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will assist the Senior Quantity Surveyor in managing construction projects, undertaking cost analysis and cost control, preparing and analyzing project tenders, and providing advice on contractual claims and disputes.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the management of construction projects, ensuring compliance with quality management, legal, and safety requirements.
- Undertake cost analysis and cost control for ongoing projects, providing accurate and timely financial reports.
- Prepare and analyze project tenders, identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Provide advice on contractual claims and disputes, ensuring that the company's interests are protected.
- Ensure that work complies with quality management, legal, and safety requirements, maintaining a safe and healthy working environment.
- Perform risk and value management to support procurement strategy, identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Provide support for project accounts and financial reports, ensuring accurate and timely financial information.
- Assist with the procurement of construction materials and equipment, ensuring that the company's procurement strategy is aligned with its business objectives.
- Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
- Excellent understanding of construction processes and materials, with a strong knowledge of construction contracts and legal frameworks.
- Experience in assisting with the management of construction projects, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results.
- Proficiency in relevant computer software, with a strong understanding of project management tools and techniques.
We offer a competitive salary of approximately £45,000 - £55,000 per year, based on experience, as well as a supportive team-based environment with a focus on professional development. You will also receive 25 days of holiday leave, plus bank holidays, and the opportunity to work in a thriving company in the Property industry.
