HSB Technical Ltd is a specialist recruiter within the Power & Propulsion, Shipbuilding, Shipping & Energy sectors. We are seeking a highly skilled Vessel Manager to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain marine vessels, ensuring compliance with Class and Flag State requirements.
- Supervise repairs and provide advice to contractors and ships staff during maintenance.
- Monitor vessel budgets and produce management of spare parts and deck/engine stores.
- Attend vessel dry docks, repairs, and produce surveys to determine repairs specifications.
- Work closely with internal and external customers on technical and operational matters.
- Carry out inspections to ensure standards on board are maintained.
- Plan and supervise required surveys to ensure certification of assigned vessels is maintained.
Requirements:
- Experience in a vessel management position is highly desirable.
- Ability to gain Security Clearance.
- Excellent communication and technical report writing skills.
- Flexibility to live within a commutable distance of the office.
- Ability to travel out of country.
