About the Role

The Ministry of Defence Guard Service (MGS) is seeking a skilled Communications and Engagement Officer to join our team. As a key member of our organisation, you will play a vital role in developing and implementing our targeted engagement and communications plan.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Engagement and Communications Manager in developing and implementing our communications strategy
  • Design and create engaging content for our internal and external audiences
  • Source and publish stories of interest to our workforce
  • Develop marketing materials for our internal and external audiences
  • Plan and coordinate events to promote our communications and engagement objectives
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to tailor content to a range of different audiences
  • Strong grammar and proofreading skills
  • Experience of managing websites, blogs, and social media
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint, Sway, and Teams
  • Proficiency in using the Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Premier Pro, and InDesign
