About the Role

The Ministry of Defence Guard Service (MGS) is seeking a skilled Communications and Engagement Officer to join our team. As a key member of our Engagement and Communications Manager, you will play a vital role in developing and implementing our targeted engagement and communications plan.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement creative, effective communications for our people, from senior leaders to front-line staff.
  • Source stories of interest to publish to the wider workforce.
  • Develop marketing material for internal and external audiences.
  • Plan and execute events to engage our stakeholders.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high standard of written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to tailor content to a range of different audiences.
  • Excellent grammar and proof-reading skills.
  • Experience of managing websites, blogs, and social media.
  • A solid understanding of Microsoft SharePoint, Sway, and Teams.
  • A working knowledge of using the Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Premier Pro, and InDesign.
