As a Compliance Analyst, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the group's trading and generation operations are in line with regulatory requirements.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing compliance advisory and assurance activities across the group's trading and generation operations
- Supporting the Senior Compliance Manager and the wider WMC team in delivering physical and financial regulatory compliance
- Developing knowledge in regulated risks associated with Energy Market regulatory framework, including REMIT, MAR, MiFID II, EMIR, TCLC, IOLC, S&P and FSMA/RAO
- Collaborating with commercial teams to build trust, confidence, and respect while challenging the status quo
- Managing and improving policies, processes, systems, and capabilities in line with the latest regulations
Requirements:
- Educated to degree level with a basic understanding of wholesale physical and financial markets
- Prior experience working with commercial teams, including 24hr trading functions
- Strong negotiating, influencing, and communicating skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
