About the Role:

As a Compliance Analyst, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the group's trading and generation operations are in line with regulatory requirements.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing compliance advisory and assurance activities across the group's trading and generation operations
  • Supporting the Senior Compliance Manager and the wider WMC team in delivering physical and financial regulatory compliance
  • Developing knowledge in regulated risks associated with Energy Market regulatory framework, including REMIT, MAR, MiFID II, EMIR, TCLC, IOLC, S&P and FSMA/RAO
  • Collaborating with commercial teams to build trust, confidence, and respect while challenging the status quo
  • Managing and improving policies, processes, systems, and capabilities in line with the latest regulations

Requirements:

  • Educated to degree level with a basic understanding of wholesale physical and financial markets
  • Prior experience working with commercial teams, including 24hr trading functions
  • Strong negotiating, influencing, and communicating skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
