About the Role

Bunn Abbott Consulting is seeking two experienced Senior Ceded Reinsurance Technicians to join our client's team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a leading writer of Property & Casualty Re/insurance, helping customers and communities recover and build resilience through their industry-leading ability to understand risk, source efficient capital, and rapidly pay claims.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Property & Casualty Re/insurance, with 2-6 years of relevant experience. They will be responsible for all ceded post-bind activities, including assuming responsibility for an agreed set of processes, for a defined ceded external portfolio and internal cessions written across the various platforms and supporting other portfolios as required.

The Senior Ceded Reinsurance Technician will support the continued enhancement and on-going development of various systems and process improvements, assist with certain local or global projects and/or project workstreams in connection with global and special projects. They will also have the opportunity to manage and oversee one or two direct reports, ensuring appropriate training, guidance, and career development is provided in all aspects of ceded post-bind activities, controls, reporting, and systems.

The role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across multiple functional areas of the business. The ideal candidate will have a minimum intermediate level of Excel skills and a strong desire to lead a small team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee ceded post-bind activities, including processes and portfolios
  • Support the development of systems and process improvements
  • Assist with local or global projects and project workstreams
  • Manage and develop direct reports
  • Ensure compliance with ceded contractual terms and analyze reinsurance contracts

Requirements:

  • 2-6 years of relevant experience in Property & Casualty Re/insurance
  • Supervisory experience or a strong desire to lead a small team
  • Minimum intermediate level Excel skills
