About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineering Program Manager to join our Global Sensors & Weapons team. As a key member of our Integrated Programme Team, you will be responsible for leading a multi-disciplined team of technical experts in the development and delivery of global sensors and weapons products and services to various customers around the world.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engineering Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance to a team of engineers and technical experts, ensuring the successful delivery of complex engineering projects.
  • Program Management: Develop and execute engineering development plans, manage work packages, and track key performance indicators to ensure program success.
  • Customer Engagement: Serve as the primary technical point of contact for key internal and external customer organizations, providing regular status updates and technical guidance as needed.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with the Programme Manager, Design Authority, and other stakeholders to ensure technical integrity and successful program delivery.
  • Risk and Change Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with engineering deliverables, ensuring effective planning and monitoring to reduce risk or closure.
  • Team Management: Direct and indirect team management, including resource planning, performance goal setting, reward, recognition, and timesheets.
Requirements
  • Proven Expertise: Demonstrated experience in managing delivery of complex multi-disciplined development programs, with a strong track record of success.
  • Technical Background: Broad-based technical background with experience in systems design and integration, software development, and delivery methodologies.
  • Leadership and Management: Proven ability to lead and manage high-performing teams, with strong leadership and management skills.
  • Communication and Interpersonal: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Education: BSc/BEng in Engineering, Science, or Aeronautical Engineering.
