Key Responsibilities
The Senior Construction Manager will be responsible for managing an assigned portfolio of contracts, ensuring that the works are delivered with the contractual obligation and cost-effectively. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the portfolio of contracts to achieve a minimum gross margin as specified by the company KPI.
- Implementing a self-auditing regime to validate that works are being completed in accordance with the Contract Execution Plan.
- Generating additional works opportunities on the portfolio of contracts to achieve an additional contract value as set out in specific objectives.
- Managing contract works in accordance with the contract execution plan.
- Ensuring contract execution plan is updated and maintained for the life cycle of the contract.
- Generating pre-contract and contract-specific deliverables in accordance with the contract execution plan.
- Managing contract delivery teams to ensure that resources are efficiently allocated to contracts for the contract duration.
- Managing supply chain and sub-contractor performance in respect of the delivery of contract-specific services and in accordance with internal supply chain KPI protocols.
- Identifying change requirements and expediting opportunities to maximize revenue and to de-risk contract delivery.
- Reporting on contract performance in accordance with company KPI protocols.
- Managing financial application, job costing, and forecasting update processes for contract sales.
- Managing close-out of defects and liability periods, including release of retention accounts for contract sales.
- Managing and working with internal company departments to administer supply chain contracts, from enquiry stage through to practical completion and defects and liability close-out.
