Flying Start Parenting Worker

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Flying Start Parenting Worker to join our dynamic team in Neath Port Talbot. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of the Flying Start Parenting Lead, supporting the development and delivery of parenting support within the project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out a range of duties to support the continued development and delivery of parenting support within the project.
  • Hold a caseload of parents with varying needs, some very complex, and work with them to promote positive parenting.
  • Work under pressure to complete work by set timescales and have a calm and understanding manner with a person-centred approach.
  • Have a good sound knowledge of child development and training or willingness to undertake training in supporting parents and young children.

Requirements:

  • A relevant Level 3 Qualification or above.
  • Experience of Parent Nurture training or a commitment to attending in-depth training.
  • A wide range of skills and experience of working with and alongside parents that are facing difficulties.
