KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Execute a thorough preventive maintenance program for all machinery and equipment.

- Regularly update maintenance schedules as necessary.

- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including troubleshooting and minor repairs to minimize downtime. - Maintain accurate maintenance logs and schedules to adhere to health and safety regulations and company standards.
- Coordinate with external contractors as needed and assist them on-site.

- Ensure an adequate inventory of spare parts for frequently used components.

- Develop and maintain technical documentation for plant and equipment in collaboration with suppliers and operators.
- Conduct health and safety inspections and implement corrective actions promptly. Report any issues or unsafe practices to the relevant supervisor.

- Carry out minor mechanical and electrical repairs related to facilities and utilities, ensuring minimal disruption.

- Modify workstations and equipment as required.

- Follow up on action items from the Health & Safety Improvement Log.

- Adhere to quality procedures related to maintenance, including calibration of measuring tools.
- Provide minor troubleshooting for office equipment as needed.
- Review and suggest improvements for processes and documentation in your area.
- Ensure timely reporting of significant breakdowns and repair needs to relevant personnel. - Liaise with customers and suppliers to clarify technical issues and resolve problems.
- Travel to other sites for training and operational needs as required.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties as assigned by management.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
- A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in Mechatronics (including apprenticeship training).

- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing setting, with skills in machinery repair and troubleshooting.

- Familiarity with pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
- Knowledge of health and safety standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
- Capable of prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
- Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation if necessary.
- Good literacy and numeracy skills.
- Flexibility regarding working hours and availability for overtime.
- Interest in machinery and problem-solving.
- Good overall health and attendance record.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Relevant mechanical engineering qualifications (e.g., NVQ, ONC, OND, Engineering).
- At least 2 years of post-qualification experience.
- Experience with pneumatic systems and sewing machines.
- Familiarity with cutting and pressing machinery.
- Proficient in computer applications, including databases and MS Office.
