Cardiac Catheter Lab Nurse

University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly motivated and experienced nurse to join our Cardiac Catheter Lab team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the delivery of excellent patient outcomes.
About the RoleThis is a full-time position in the Cardiac Catheter Lab, with an initial 2-4 week induction period on the day unit prior to transfer to the cath lab. The length of this induction period will depend on previous experience. You will be working with a variety of interesting cases in interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, heart failure, and congenital cardiology, including angiography, angioplasty, electrophysiology, TAVI, and implantable devices.
Key Responsibilities- Providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the delivery of excellent patient outcomes
- Working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care
- Participating in the development and implementation of evidence-based practice
- Contributing to the education and training of junior staff members
- Assisting with the throughput of the labs for elective, inpatient, and emergency cases
We are looking for a nurse with the following skills and qualifications:
- Qualified Nurse (Degree/Diploma)
- Registered nurse on the appropriate part of the register
- Knowledge of current issues within acute healthcare
- Understanding of personal accountability
- Knowledge of own role within the team
- Ability to use initiative
- Good communication and teamwork skills
