About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Staff Nurse to join our team in the Cardiac Catheter Lab at University Hospital Southampton NHS Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the smooth operation of the lab.
Key Responsibilities
- Scrub and circulate for a variety of cardiac cath lab procedures, including angiography, angioplasty, electrophysiology, and TAVI.
- Support recovery and care for patients post-procedure, including general and local anaesthetics.
- Promote high standards of nursing care and multi-disciplinary working, requiring good communication and teamwork.
- Assist with the throughput of the labs for elective, inpatient, and emergency cases.
Requirements
- Qualified Nurse (Degree/Diploma) and registered nurse on the appropriate part of the register.
- Knowledge of current issues within acute healthcare and understanding of personal accountability.
- Awareness of evidence-based practice and responsibilities for management of infection control.
- Evidence of on-going personal development and ability to use initiative.
