Key Responsibilities

As a Logistics Operative, you will experience a dynamic work environment where each day presents new challenges. This role demands quick decision-making and outstanding organizational capabilities.

In collaboration with the logistics team and Site Management, your duties will include:
  • Acting as the primary contact for customer inquiries and requests
  • Managing the issuance and receipt of materials, tools, and equipment through a warehouse management system
  • Verifying stock levels and overseeing the process for non-stock and PPE items
  • Safely operating mobile plant and mechanical handling equipment, ensuring proper maintenance and storage
  • Coordinating waste management on-site
  • Participating in standby/call-out arrangements and roving store duties as needed
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • NVQ level 2 (or equivalent) in distribution and warehousing (preferred but not essential)
  • Forklift license (preferred but not essential)
  • Understanding of Health and Safety Regulations, including hazard reporting
  • Telehandler/Combi Lift/VNA license (preferred but not essential)
  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills, with a keen attention to detail
  • Proficient in computer usage
