Overview of the Position
We are looking for a skilled Operations Leader to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will manage the daily functions of our community support centre, ensuring the provision of exceptional services to our clients while fostering strong connections with our volunteers and community partners.
Primary Duties:
1. Client Engagement:
Oversee and coordinate the provision of our support and coaching services Guarantee that all clients experience a tailored and high-quality service Assess and analyze service outcomes, utilizing data to enhance performance Formulate and execute strategies to reach a broader audience of women in need Achieve annual objectives for service delivery2. Volunteer Coordination:
Recruit, train, and manage a team of volunteers who assist in delivering our services Develop and sustain a volunteer schedule to ensure adequate support for all client interactions and events Provide continuous support and development opportunities for volunteers Acknowledge and celebrate the contributions of volunteers3. Inventory Oversight:
Supervise the management of our clothing and accessory inventory Organize clothing donations from individuals and corporate partners Ensure the dressing area is well-stocked and orderly Collaborate with the team to implement systems for effective stock management and disposal of unsuitable items4. Community Relations and Partnerships:
Establish and nurture relationships with local job centres, women's organizations, and other referral sources Represent our organization at community events and networking opportunities Create and host community events such as job fairs Partner with local businesses to secure in-kind donations and support.5. Operational Management:
Oversee the daily operations of the centre, including scheduling, budgeting, and reporting Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and organizational policies Maintain accurate records of clients and volunteers using our database Provide regular performance reports to the Board of Trustees Qualifications
Proven experience in team management and volunteer coordination
Strong organizational and time management capabilities
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Experience in client-facing roles, ideally within a charitable or social service context
Proficiency in database management and Microsoft Office applications
Preferred:
Familiarity with the local community
Understanding of employment challenges faced by women
Background in retail or inventory management
This is a full-time position based at our community centre. The role requires flexibility to occasionally work outside of standard hours to accommodate client appointments or community events.
