Role Overview

The AI/ML Security Architect will ensure the integrity and security of our AI and machine learning initiatives by collaborating with internal security teams and various business units.

Your primary objective will be to safeguard our information and systems by aligning with security, compliance, and regulatory standards, thereby minimizing technical security risks and vulnerabilities.

This role involves developing security architecture, advocating for best practices in security design, and providing consulting on security architecture as needed.

As an AI/ML Security Architect, you will be instrumental in supporting Liberty Global's AI initiatives from a security perspective, ensuring the technical security of AI and machine learning systems.

You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining robust security standards, measures, and controls for AI and ML applications, models, and data while collaborating with business teams on these projects.

Additionally, you will manage daily demands and activities, ensuring that tasks are prioritized effectively and progress is communicated to stakeholders. Mentoring team members and promoting quality outcomes through peer reviews will also be key aspects of your role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement comprehensive security strategies, policies, and guidelines for AI/ML systems to protect organizational assets.
  • Maintain architecture design patterns and standards, ensuring they are up-to-date and relevant.
  • Ensure compliance of AI/ML systems with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Support testing of AI/ML products and collaborate with development teams on security testing.
  • Build relationships with architecture teams to establish secure designs.
  • Embed security controls into AI/ML applications and data pipelines.
  • Drive the realization of Liberty Global's technical security strategy.
  • Monitor and ensure security compliance throughout project lifecycles.
  • Conduct architectural design reviews for new AI and ML solutions to identify risks and recommend mitigations.
  • Stay informed about emerging AI security threats and adapt security measures accordingly.
  • Evaluate and adopt security tools and frameworks to enhance the security posture of AI/ML systems.
  • Engage with multiple functions to innovate in cyber security practices.
  • Promote awareness and adoption of security policies and strategies across teams.
  • Ensure accurate reporting of team progress to relevant stakeholders.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven experience in Security Architecture with a focus on AI/ML security.
  • Strong understanding of AI technologies, security principles, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience with technical security controls and cloud infrastructures.
  • Excellent analytical skills for assessing risks and developing mitigation strategies.
  • Familiarity with identifying security flaws through threat modeling and architectural assessments.
  • Knowledge of current security vulnerabilities specific to AI/ML.
  • Experience with cloud security design and assurance.
  • Strong documentation and presentation skills for communicating risks and strategies.
  • Leadership capabilities to guide and mentor team members.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree-level education or equivalent industrial experience.
  • Relevant security certifications (CISSP, SABSA, etc.).
  • Familiarity with programming languages used in AI/ML development.
  • Experience with AI/ML frameworks and libraries.
