Role Overview

The AI/ML Security Architect will ensure that our security measures align with the company's objectives by collaborating with internal security teams and various business units. The primary goal is to safeguard our information and systems, ensuring compliance with security, regulatory, and compliance standards, which will lead to architectures that mitigate technical security risks.

This position focuses on developing security architecture and acting as a champion for security design best practices, providing consulting on security architecture and design as needed.

In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting Liberty Global's AI initiatives from a security perspective, ensuring the integrity and security of AI and machine learning systems. Responsibilities include the development, design, implementation, and maintenance of robust security standards and controls for AI and ML applications and data.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, engineers, and security experts, while also supporting security design assurance for various business initiatives.

The AI/ML Security Architect will manage daily demands and activities, prioritizing tasks and reporting progress effectively. This role also involves promoting quality outcomes through peer reviews and mentoring team members to foster their professional growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate and execute comprehensive security strategies, policies, and standards for AI/ML systems, ensuring secure operations and robust enterprise security architecture.
  • Maintain architecture design patterns and reference architectures, ensuring they are current and relevant.
  • Ensure compliance of AI/ML systems with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with development teams to test AI/ML products and execute adversarial test specifications.
  • Build relationships with architecture teams to establish secure designs collaboratively.
  • Integrate security controls into AI/ML applications and data pipelines.
  • Drive the realization of Liberty Global's technical security strategy.
  • Monitor and ensure security compliance throughout project lifecycles.
  • Conduct architectural design reviews for new AI and ML solutions to identify risks and recommend mitigations.
  • Stay informed about emerging AI security threats and adapt security measures accordingly.
  • Evaluate and implement security tools and frameworks to enhance the security posture of AI/ML systems.
  • Engage with multiple functions to innovate and modernize cybersecurity practices.
  • Promote awareness and adoption of security policies and strategies across all deployments.
  • Provide accurate progress reports to stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in Security Architecture with a focus on AI/ML security.
  • In-depth knowledge of technical security controls, AI/ML pipelines, and cloud infrastructures.
  • Proven ability to develop foundational security architectures and standards.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess risks and develop mitigation strategies.

  • Understanding of current security vulnerabilities specific to AI/ML.

  • Strong documentation and presentation skills for communicating risks and security strategies.
