Job Title - Furnace Manager

Location - West Yorkshire, Wakefield

Salary - £45,000 - £50,000 (Dependent on Experience)

We are seeking a highly skilled Furnace Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our furnace department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring production schedules are met and operations run efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the furnace department to achieve optimal production levels.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve furnace efficiency and reduce downtime.
  • Lead and coach the furnace team to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with other departments to optimize production processes and improve overall performance.
  • Manage maintenance schedules to ensure minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
  • Analyze operational performance and implement improvements to drive business growth.
  • Coordinate and participate in shutdowns and essential maintenance tasks.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field (preferred).
  • Experience in a manufacturing setting, particularly in furnace or process operations.
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills to develop and motivate the furnace team.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills to drive business growth.
