Furnace Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Furnace Manager to oversee and manage the furnace operations at our leading FMCG packaging manufacturing business in West Yorkshire.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the furnace department, ensuring production schedules are met and operations run efficiently.
  • Maintain strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations, leading to a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the furnace team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
  • Work closely with other departments to optimize production processes, reducing downtime and increasing efficiency.
  • Analyze operational performance and implement improvements, driving business growth and success.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field (preferred).
  • Experience in a manufacturing setting, particularly in furnace or process operations.
  • Strong leadership abilities with experience in managing teams.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
