Role Purpose:

  • To promptly and accurately reconcile sales ledger reporting, ensuring accuracy and transparency in financial transactions.
  • To reconcile VAT accounts, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and minimizing financial risks.
  • To reconcile balance sheet accounts, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial statements.
  • To undertake additional project work when required, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Reconciliation

  • Ensure sales ledger is accurately reconciled, raise queries where necessary, and prepare corresponding accruals where required.
  • Prepare monthly VAT reconciliations, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
  • Reconcile withholding accounts monthly, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliation for agreed monthly/quarterly GL accounts, ensuring accuracy and transparency.

Accounts Payable

  • Act as back-up for Finance Assistant (expenses/vendor maintenance), demonstrating a willingness to learn and support colleagues.
  • Prepare and check monthly Journal entries, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.

Experience:

  • Experience in working in an accounting background, dealing with preparing balance sheet and VAT reconciliations.
  • Have experience in a similar role, demonstrating a track record of success and growth.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills, with the ability to analyze and interpret complex financial data.
  • Have a thorough working knowledge of SAP payment procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Skills & Behavioral Qualities:

  • Excellent numeracy skills, with the ability to accurately analyze and interpret financial data.
  • Proficient data entry and processing skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • AAT qualified/equivalent or working towards, demonstrating a commitment to professional development.
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.

Work Schedule:

  • Hours per week, Monday-Friday, with a flexible and hybrid working arrangement.
