About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence Analyst to join our team at Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for managing the Trust's monthly budget reporting cycle and ensuring accurate and timely budgetary control information is circulated to all budget holders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the Trust's monthly budget reporting cycle through the General Ledger, ensuring accurate and timely budgetary control information is circulated to all budget holders.
  • Produce financial monitoring reports to Boards and external regulatory bodies for large and highly complex organisations.
  • Support the Head of Reporting in production of financial reports to the Executive Team, Trust Board and Monitor.
  • Take a leading role in the development and implementation of IT solutions for Trust-wide reporting, consistently reviewing and updating IT solutions for reporting to managers and clinicians.
Requirements
  • Demonstrable ability to meet the Trust Values.
  • Professional qualification in accountancy (CIMA, ACA, CIPFA, ACCA).
  • A minimum of one year's post-qualification experience.
  • Expert knowledge gained through specialist training or experience, with evidence of maintaining and developing technical accounting expertise and staying up to date with current accounting rules since qualification.
  • Successful experience of managing teams, including experience of leading management accounting teams.
  • Experience of managing the operation of budgetary control systems in large and highly complex organisations.
  • Leadership qualities and influencing skills, including the ability to understand complex situations, work in a professional and positive manner, meet challenging deadlines, challenge effectively while maintaining relationships, and work autonomously.
