About the Role:

We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Meeting and Events Supervisor to join our team at Mercure Haydock Park Hotel. As a key member of our sales and events team, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless execution of events and meetings, providing exceptional customer service, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and execute events and meetings, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of services.
  • Provide administrative support to the Meeting and Events Sales Manager, including diary management and data entry.
  • Conduct site visits and consultations with potential clients, showcasing the hotel's features and amenities.
  • Maintain accurate records and databases, ensuring up-to-date information on market segments and client preferences.
  • Assist with the coordination of corporate hospitality events, including logistics and communication with clients.
  • Conduct market research and telesales campaigns to drive sales growth and increase revenue.
  • Compile sales packs and ensure adequate supplies of promotional materials and stationery.
  • Meet sales targets set by management and head office, understanding the business strategy and contributing to activity plans.
  • Deliver exceptional customer experiences, tailoring events to meet individual client needs and preferences.
  • Utilize hotel space to maximize revenue, preparing and presenting proposals, contracts, and pricing packages to clients.

Requirements:

  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Proficiency in Opera PMS and Sales and Catering system, with ability to learn and adapt to new systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with flexibility to work varied shifts, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
  • Strong knowledge of hospitality industry, with understanding of customer needs and preferences.
