Clinical Psychologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical or Forensic Psychologist to join our team at Heatherwood Court, a forensic mental health hospital. Our hospital provides a range of services, including a Locked Rehabilitation Service and a Low Secure Service, catering to patients with complex needs and challenging behaviors.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in working with service users with complex mental health issues, including severe and enduring mental illness, complex trauma, and personality disorders. Experience in delivering evidence-based interventions, such as CBT, DBT, CFT, EMDR, and Schema Focused Therapy, is essential. Additionally, the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team and provide robust clinical supervision is crucial.
The postholder will be responsible for conducting comprehensive psychological assessments, risk assessments, and formulations, as well as delivering person-centered therapeutic interventions. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to participate in the development and delivery of our staff well-being program, focusing on providing support structures and relationally-focused supervision for staff.
We are particularly interested in candidates who have received DBT training, but we are willing to offer training to suitable candidates on appointment. The successful applicant will be an active participant in the development and delivery of our services, working closely with other members of the multidisciplinary team.
