Role Objective:

Assists the Head of Acquisitions in the
commercialization of the designated Crew product line to foster profitable sales
expansion. This position oversees the workflow to guarantee that the collections, once
conceived, are accurately priced and produced to meet the quality standards expected by the Crew clientele, adhering to established sourcing pathways. A solid understanding of the market landscape and sales performance will ensure well-rounded and pertinent range development.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Development

  • Facilitate the delivery of the agreed product line from prototype stage to in-store availability
  • Identify and propose new product possibilities to the Head of Acquisitions
  • Ensure the product range meets all set objectives (intake margin,
    cost price, profitability, commercial viability, and brand alignment)
  • Achieve 95% on-time delivery across all channels
  • Exhibit exceptional range development skills and a thorough understanding of Crew’s vision to fulfill that
  • Oversee the Admin Assistant as needed within the team structure
  • Drive profitability and maximize sales through strategic trading when applicable
  • Issue Purchase Orders and manage the process with 100% accuracy and adherence to critical path timelines
  • Engage with understanding the range frameworks to include options, price points, and best-selling items identified from prior seasons to ensure a balanced assortment
  • Collaborate with design and technical teams weekly to manage design, sampling, and production timelines to achieve on-time delivery and a minimum of 95% launch availability
  • Monitor products throughout all stages of development and manufacturing to ensure they meet brand specifications and standards
  • Participate in fit meetings as appropriate with design and garment technology teams to ensure consistency in fit and execution of new patterns

Supplier Engagement

  • Establish robust working relationships with all supply partners - engage at all
    stages of product development, negotiation, and production, maintaining regular and consistent communication
  • Negotiate pricing, execute, and deliver product lines that exceed budgeted intake margins for all channel ranges while surpassing customer expectations, in alignment with the Head of Acquisitions’ goals
  • Oversee the production process from SMS confirmation to warehouse delivery, effectively communicating progress
  • Manage the Open-to-Buy process to ensure in-season trading opportunities are recognized and acted upon

Collaborative Teamwork

  • Work collaboratively and communicate effectively at all times within the team and broader organization
  • Participate in weekly departmental team and trade meetings to ensure the team is well-informed and prepared, identifying trading opportunities
  • Collaborate closely with Merchandisers to ensure the approved range reflects the agreed options and product/color mix, revisiting in line with in-season performance
  • Through monthly store visits, marketing insights, and analysis of key competitors – gain a deeper understanding of Crew’s market position, target customers, and identify opportunities for enhancement

Online and Channel Management

  • Oversee the salesman sample process from initial design prototype to final stages
  • Ensure all SMS samples are available to Channels within designated timelines, executed to meet requirements
  • Manage category sample invoices for each season to minimize development costs
  • Ensure all Direct and Marketing requirements are fulfilled on time to achieve Crew catalogue and website launch timelines
  • Guarantee all correct samples are provided for photo shoots and PR, communicating any subsequent changes

  • Capability to prioritize and manage a work schedule while adhering to tight deadlines
  • Ability to initiate and cultivate strong relationships with suppliers and other department members

  • Understanding of the Buying function and critical path processes with adept management skills
  • Able to work with enthusiasm and energy
