London, Greater London, United Kingdom Dentsu Full time

Job Title:
Alliances & Partner Marketing Director

Job Overview:

The Opportunity

Dentsu EMEA's Marketing Communications team is seeking an experienced Alliances & Partner Marketing Director to enhance our partner marketing initiatives across various sectors, including Creative, Customer Experience Management (CXM), and media.

This pivotal role is ideal for a seasoned marketing expert adept at collaborating with diverse technology partners and steering the execution of a comprehensive marketing strategy that encompasses both brand and commercial endeavors.

Reporting directly to the Head of Communications for EMEA, you will be supported by a team of brand, commercial, and content marketing managers located throughout the EMEA region. You will take charge of a dynamic calendar of activities that includes events, thought leadership, lead generation, and brand campaigns aimed at fostering pipeline growth and enhancing brand visibility among our partners, the industry, and within our organization. Your collaboration with the broader EMEA marketing team and the partner and alliances growth team will be crucial in driving our integrated growth strategy.

In this role, you will work collaboratively across the EMEA region (including the UK, DACH, NE, and Spain) to implement centralized marketing activities that support regional business objectives with key partners, ensuring consistency and efficiency in regional campaigns that strengthen our partner relationships and elevate our brand.

This position guarantees that commercial and brand marketing efforts are synchronized throughout the entire client journey, enhancing brand recognition and generating demand. You will also facilitate collaboration with global and regional teams to ensure alignment across our business, while liaising with the wider Dentsu marketing team to leverage, co-create, and align marketing strategies that support cross-selling and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Marketing Strategy Development

  1. Collaborate with the Partner and Alliances Growth team and EMEA marketing leads to formulate a marketing plan that effectively engages partners, industry stakeholders, and key audiences, aimed at boosting brand recognition and driving incremental revenue.
  2. Assist in executing marketing initiatives with support from in-market teams, focusing on brand and commercial activities to enhance lead generation and partner growth.
  3. Coordinate with global and regional teams to facilitate content creation and sharing, promoting cross-selling and brand awareness.
  4. Utilize our global and in-market thought leadership and value propositions to accelerate growth.
  5. Partner with the Partner and Alliances growth teams to secure sponsorship through proactive planning that supports ongoing marketing efforts and drives revenue with positive returns on investment.

Marketing Activation

  1. Oversee the partner event strategy and calendar, assisting the broader partner marketing team in executing successful events with measurable outcomes and proper governance.
  2. Contribute to monthly, quarterly, and annual reviews as part of the EMEA marketing team to assess effectiveness and identify optimization opportunities.
  3. Track lead generation activities and brand performance metrics to ensure success.
  4. Support and evaluate partner relations to position Dentsu as the preferred choice for partnerships.
  5. Collaborate closely with client, growth, and partner/alliances leads to manage our partner and alliances event participation, enhancing pipeline development, brand building, and relationships with key partners.
  6. Work with partner marketing teams to create joint marketing initiatives across the region, fostering efficiency and consistency while building relationships and encouraging collaboration.
  7. Design and implement marketing activities (e.g., webinars, newsletters, channel activation, branding) in partnership with the wider UK&I marketing team to raise awareness among our partners and key audiences.
  8. In collaboration with the EMEA External Communications lead, develop proactive and reactive communications and public relations strategies to support our partner practice growth initiatives.
  9. Coordinate with the Brand marketing team to ensure proper brand architecture and go-to-market strategies, serving as a brand advocate for all Dentsu brands.

Qualifications:

  1. Proven ability to excel in a fast-paced environment while demonstrating leadership and maintaining high morale under pressure.
  2. Strong program management skills with the capability to manage a busy calendar of activities across events, communications, and campaigns, ensuring coordinated delivery across departments and markets.
  3. Experience with platform partners and a background in digital marketing from a vendor, agency, or client perspective is preferred.
  4. Proficient in internal stakeholder management within a matrix organization.
  5. Performance-driven and data-focused, with a keen eye for creativity.
  6. Experience collaborating with global and regional teams and aligning calendars effectively.
  7. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a clear understanding of campaign strategy.
  8. Demonstrated interpersonal skills, capable of working closely with senior stakeholders while maintaining professionalism in rapidly changing circumstances.
  9. Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  10. Solid commercial acumen and experience in budget management.
  11. A team player who can also work independently with minimal supervision.
