About the Role

We are seeking a qualified Physiotherapist to join our team as a Functional Assessor. As a Functional Assessor, you will be responsible for assessing individuals and how their disabilities or conditions affect their work life. You will draw on your clinical expertise to listen carefully and take down each person's medical history before performing a physical examination.

You will then produce concise, accurate reports for the Department of Work & Pensions (DWP) so they can decide each person's eligibility for benefits. The role involves meeting people both face-to-face and via telephone/video, and you will be sensitive, compassionate and able to ask the right questions while upholding best practice standards.

Requirements
  • Continuous Professional Development present on CV.
  • Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP).
  • Completion of ECDL or equivalent would be an advantage.
  • IT skills and experience of using a range of software.
  • Self-aware and focused on professional development.
  • Honest and able to maintain integrity and customer confidentiality.
  • Motivated to contribute to quality customer service, demonstrating empathy, respect and sensitivity in assessment delivery.
