M25 Incident Response Operative

Position Overview
This role is essential for the effective management of the M25 DBFO Network, focusing on incident response, hazard mitigation, and maintenance tasks as directed by the Line Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Take charge of the initial response and coordinate specialized assistance during road incidents, hazards, and collisions in a Bronze incident command capacity.
- Address incidents following established protocols to ensure timely resolution of hazards and incidents.
- Execute assigned duties to uphold the integrity of your designated area, including debris inspections, roadway repairs, and signage upkeep.
- Implement Emergency Traffic Management in line with company standards.
- Utilize mobile devices for accurate data entry and reporting.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintain comprehensive driving logs.
- Notify supervisors of any safety concerns impacting the network.
- Ensure Traffic Management equipment is functional and adequately stocked on vehicles.
- Engage in Winter Service rotations as required.
Required Qualifications
- Valid UK Driving Licence (minimum category C - LGV Class 2)
- CSCS Operative Card
- Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Highways Maintenance
- ROLO Sector Scheme 18 certification
- NHSS12A/B accreditation
- Winter Service Operations certification
- Impact Protection Vehicle Courses (12AB IPV)
Additional Requirements
- Successful completion of security, driving license, drug & alcohol tests, and health assessments
- Adherence to Health & Safety regulations
Work Schedule
- Shifts will include weekends and holidays
- Rotating schedule consisting of 4 shifts on, followed by 4 shifts off
- Travel across the M25 network and between depots is necessary
- Participation in out-of-hours Winter Maintenance activities may be required
