About the Resilient Families Service:
The Resilient Families Service focuses on early intervention and prevention strategies for families with children and young people aged 0-25 years. Our mission is to bolster the resilience of families by collaborating with various partner organizations to implement effective intervention plans, providing direct support, and advocating for the needs of children and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Family Support Worker, your role will involve:
- Building and nurturing positive relationships with children, young people, and their families.
- Delivering direct assistance to families to facilitate meaningful change.
- Collaborating with Social Services, Education, Health, and community organizations to create, execute, and assess family support plans.
- Addressing child protection concerns with sensitivity and professionalism.
This position operates on a Monday to Friday schedule, allowing you to manage your own appointments effectively.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Proven experience working with children, young people, and their families.
- Background in collaborative work with a variety of voluntary and statutory organizations.
- Competence in handling child protection issues with care and discretion.
- Strong communication skills to engage with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to coordinate and implement support plans tailored to the needs of families.
