Collections Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Collections Executive to join our Collections Team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting small business owners who are facing financial difficulties.
Key Responsibilities- Supporting SME business owners over the phone and via written communication to understand their financial situation and negotiate an outcome that benefits both the borrower and our investors.
- Building rapport with borrowers to understand their needs and expectations, meeting these consistently through our quality framework.
- Managing accounts with a focus on cash collection and aged debt clearance, minimizing loan defaults.
- Recognizing opportunities to aid borrowers and taking the initiative to implement the best solutions.
- Handling borrower dissatisfaction in a professional manner and adhering to our complaints/escalation process.
- Complying with regulatory and FCA guidelines relevant to borrowers, colleagues, and investors.
- Strong experience in a high-volume call environment, inbound or outbound.
- Experience working in a KPI-driven environment and meeting targets and SLAs.
- Empathy and ability to have difficult conversations in a professional manner.
- Organized with great attention to detail and ability to use multiple systems.
- Motivated and deadline-driven individual who can work under pressure while maintaining quality.
