Workshop Operations Manager

Job Summary:
Venesky-Brown's client, a public sector organization, is seeking a skilled professional to lead their vehicle workshop team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the vehicle workshop, ensuring all work meets high standards and service targets.
- Participate in the repair, maintenance, and servicing of a diverse fleet of vehicles, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of servicing and maintenance, in accordance with the Operator's Licence requirements.
- Assist in the planning and implementation of a business development strategy to offer external services and generate additional revenue for the organization.
- Manage stocks of consumable materials and purchase replacement parts as needed.
- Liaise with stakeholders, resolving requests and complaints efficiently.
Essential Skills:
- Experience of working with heavy vehicles, plant, and commercial vehicles.
- Experience of working within a mixed fleet environment.
- Knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems.
- LGV Class II Driving Licence.
- Knowledge and experience of electric vehicles.
- A commitment to work within our values.
Desirable Skills:
- Supervisory experience.
- City & Guilds qualified mechanic or NVQ3 in Vehicle Mechanics.
- Experience of working with refuse and sweeping vehicles.
- Knowledge of V.O.S.A Servicing & O Licence requirements.
